Teaching
In the upcoming winter semester, I will hold the following three modules in the Computer Science and connected programmes at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Bocholt.
The spoken language in the course is usually German, with teaching materials being either German or English.
Usable Security
USEC
This module explores security through a human-centred lens. Students examine usable authentication and biometrics, encrypted communication, phishing and social engineering, empirical evaluation methods, privacy, and ethics. A seminar and project connect the concepts to the design and evaluation of working security mechanisms.
The examination type will be settled in the first weeks of the term, as it depends on the number of course participants.
